The Gen.G Foundation's mission is to develop talented young gamers who can lead the industry’s next generation. We envision a community that promotes inclusion and diversity while encouraging academic excellence. Our scholarship recipients will strengthen the diversity and representation that gaming needs to reach its full potential.

WHO ARE THE GEN.G FOUNDATION APPLICANTS?
Who is eligible to apply?
Any undergraduate 1st year student interested in gaming, esports, entrepreneurship, journalism or content creation, including international students, enrolled in a 4-year US university or college can apply.
How do I show my enrollment status?
Proof of enrollment can include one of the following: A) transcript (unofficial transcript is acceptable), B) a letter from your college or university stating your enrollment status as of October 15, 2020, or C) proof that you have accepted an offer to attend an eligibly college/university starting on or before September 15, 2020.
*For options B & C, this should display a school seal or logo & contatin a signature/email/phone number of the school representative.
What if I meet one criteria and not the other?
You must meet all the criteria to apply.
Are transfer students considered for academic scholarships?
Unfortunately, not at this time.

How do I apply for the scholarship?
The 2020 application cycle has ended. Please check back in April of 2021 regarding the new application cycle.
Do I have to be accepted into the university to be eligible for the scholarship?
Yes; you must be enrolled for Spring 2021 quarter/semester.
What is the deadline for the application?
The application period is from September 15, 2020 to October 15, 2020, 11:59PM PST.
How do I know if Gen.G has received my documents and application?
If your form was submitted successfully, your application has been received. Due to the high volume of applications, we cannot comment on the status of specific applications.
Is a scholarship interview required?
Yes; only selected applicants will be interviewed.

AWARD NOTIFICATION
How will I be notified if I have earned the scholarship award?
You can check the website and a notification email will be sent with instructions to proceed.
Will I be notified if I am not selected?
You will receive a notification on your status by December 3, 2020.
How will my funds be disbursed?
The funds will go directly to your school, and we will coordinate with you and your university.
How do I accept my scholarship once I am awarded?
We will send a document for you to sign and accept.
SCHOLARSHIP RENEWAL
Is the scholarship a one-year grant, or is it renewable?
The scholarship is a one-year grant.
Do I need to be enrolled as a full-time student to receive my scholarship?
The scholarship is only awarded to full-time students.
Please only submit one application. Submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.
If you become a scholarship recipient, your name will be published on our website and/or Gen.G social media platforms in the coming weeks (including, but not limited to: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook).
